A Little Video

Mom and Bill, Mrs Mom and BrownEyed Cowgirls all already have multiple posts up about their visit last weekend.  I'm feeling like such a dang slacker!

To ease my guilt feelings until I have time to sit and compose a post, here's a little video montage of our ride.

The video of the hunters putting their kill up on Eli is a bit jumpy because Ranger did. not. like. it.

Yeah, dead thing on the back of his new herdmate was just too much.  He was pretty good, but wanted to get outta there.

Really, more to come in the next couple of days.

Umm, well, I'm not to fond of large dead critters nearby either...!

WHOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!! Brings back memories!

Funny-- bundled up like crazy there the whole time we rode, stayed dressed fairly warm the entire time up there... And today? I sit here, early in the morning, in shorts, cussing at the heat and humidity. I think you are right. We have heat/ humidity/ and "bad air" poisoning going on ;)

Yeah, I'm always amazed when a prey animal carries dead meat on its back through the forest--talk about a miracle of nature!! It's like a neon sign for predators--COME EAT ME! ;)

I loved the video--please make some more! Looks like you all had a great time together!!

Thanks, GunDiva, for being the camera person so the rest of us could see all the fun!

Interesting the Ranger was more disturbed about the deer carcass than Eli. Any horse that can carry strange things on its back is a friend of mine.

So much fun. Too bad you didn't get to have 'a run' in the meadow too. ;-) Next time!!
