Fall Colors

It seems like summer just got started and here it is all over, as evidenced by the gold on the mountain.

When the gold hits the trees, it's time to break out the orange...

There are hunters a foot and the only protection we have is our ability to don the hideous orange.  Orange might not be my color, but alive is and I want to stay that way.

After our beautiful ride, Estes even got in on the orange action with a little Betadine soak...

She just wanted to ensure she coordinated with ya. No one would shoot at orange hooves :)

I'm actually just too scared to take Kona on the trails once bow season starts... regardless of what we're wearing. You're a brave girlie!

Hey- this mean there won't be any leaves left by the time we get out there????

Darn...

Estes looks to be fuzzing up some! What a good girl to soak her tootsie too! ;)

Shots have been fired here too; the border collies are sticking close to the house, little wimps! I plan on going hunting soon, but I'll leave the horse at home unless I get something. There are a lot of elk down near the river bottom still, not far from my home.

Yikes! I think I'd wear orange and an air horn.
