Book Give-away

So.

I might have mentioned that I'm finishing up my book and it'll be available for purchase soon (hopefully mid-August).

I thought, though, that maybe another give-away was in order.

Starting today, and running until midnight (PST) on August 9th, you'll have the chance to enter for the chance to win one of five advance copies.

My most memorable horse is the super old arab that taught me how to ride! He's a super easy peasy beginner horse, and all of the students that ride him can't wait to 'graduate' to the next more advanced horse, but I am always begging to ride him again, he's just so much fun!

My most memorable horse? The Queen's twin sister.

And the most memorable ride? The one where I wound up riding a really terrible version of "side saddle" and the fenders tore clean off of the treeless saddle right before I was about to meet a horse trailer sideways a'la Marie Antoinette.

That girl keeps me on my toes.

And YAY! Your book! Screaming, jumping up and down, cannot wait!

Most memorable ride? Wow, there are good and bad. I was racing two guys once, one gravel..I know, dumb, the horse stumbled reared, and yep, only time I've gone off...full gallop, on stones. Then there was my Sam, a golden Palomino quarter horse. He used to like to wander through the wildlife preserve near where we lived. I was hook a knee around the horn, quasi side saddle and would just wander enjoying the scenery and each other. I miss him

Most memorable ride...hunting a grizzly bear in the Wind River Mountains with the Game and Fish. Almost slid down a mountain, hanging out of the saddle, leg caught in it and the horse pulling us up as the rocks gave way. That horse saved my life. Created a special bond ever since. He was my Mounted Police horse and is still alive. Best damn black Morgan on earth.

Shy is the only horse I have owned and she is quite memorable. I love the first time I drove her, the first time she actually did not run from me when I went to catch her, the first time I could see in her eyes that something "stuck" with her. She is pretty amazing.
I look forward to your book! How exciting :)

My most memorable ride was when my horse was stung by a yellow jacket as we went down a 20' slide in the cross-country portion of a 3-day event. We were supposed to slide to the bottom, take a stride or so, and then pop over a jump. Instead... he launched from the middle of the slide when he got stung. We cleared the jump, and the next 3 at mach speed.

I'm impressed about your book! Congrats!

My most memorable ride is fairly simple. I've done all the training for my little horsey. So one day after many times I would walk her out the trail and back, slowly making it a little farther each time I finally got to riding her on the trail, she was an angel and didn't spazz out at all. That moment I felt like all of the training and time put into it paid off.

My most memorable ride was the first time that I got on Gatsby, he was/is the biggest horse that I have ever rode and I got on him, looked down and went 'wow, this is a long way down if I fall'. We got thrown in the deep end because the first thing we were doing was a dressage test that I'd practiced for on another day, he was great! I remember he had such a nice big trot and canter.
